Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 June 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Q6 Academy ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website at q6academy.com, our learning platform, and any related products or services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you create an account, enrol in a course, book classes, message a teacher, or contact us, we collect information such as your name, email address, gender (used to match students with a teacher of the same gender), time zone, billing details, and any other information you choose to provide.

Student information. Where a parent or guardian enrols a child, we collect limited information needed to deliver tuition — such as the student's name, age or learning level, attendance, homework, and progress notes.

Class information. We record bookings, attendance, and class history. Live classes are delivered through a third-party video provider; sessions may be recorded for safeguarding, quality, and training purposes where permitted by law, and you will be informed where this applies.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Service, we automatically collect certain information, including IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, referrer URL, and time stamps.

Information from payment providers. Our payment provider processes your payments and shares limited information with us, such as the last four digits of your card, billing country, and subscription status. We do not store full payment card details.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, and analyse usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Schedule and deliver classes, match students with a suitable teacher, and track attendance and progress
  • Process transactions and send related notifications (receipts, renewal reminders, class reminders)
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • Send you technical notices, updates, and administrative messages
  • Keep students safe and uphold our safeguarding responsibilities
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How we share your information

We share information with:

  • Teachers, to the extent needed to deliver classes to their assigned students
  • Service providers who help us operate the Service (hosting, video conferencing, analytics, email delivery, customer support)
  • Payment providers to process transactions and combat fraud
  • Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or government request, or when necessary to protect our rights, our users, or the public — including safeguarding concerns
  • Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you

4. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete your personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Receive a portable copy of your data
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@q6academy.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

5. International transfers

We may transfer your information to countries outside your country of residence. When we do, we use safeguards required by applicable law (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.

6. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information for longer where required by law (for example, tax records) or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention and safeguarding.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8. Children and family accounts

Our classes are open to learners of all ages, but accounts and payments must be set up and managed by an adult. If a learner is under 18, a parent or guardian must create and hold the account and agree to our terms on the learner's behalf. A parent or guardian is responsible for the information they provide about a child and for supervising the child's use of the Service.

We only collect a child's information to deliver tuition and keep students safe, and we do not knowingly allow children to create their own billing accounts. If you believe a child has provided us information without the involvement of a parent or guardian, please contact us at support@q6academy.com and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or through the Service.

10. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us at support@q6academy.com.
